KETAPANG are dry and crumbled sea almond leaves (Terminalia catappa) which naturally improve water quality. KETAPANG add natural tannins to the water, which slightly lower the pH level and helps create the so-called black water. The substances found in sea almond leaves accelerate the regeneration of epidermis, mucus coating and fins as well as prevent fungus infections. Therefore, it is recommended to use sea almond leaves after water changes, transportation and acclimatisation of fish in their new tank. Sea almond used in breeding tanks protects the eggs from growing moldy, improves the hatching and surviving rates. One bag of KETAPANG should be used per 150-200 litres of water. We change the bag every two weeks. |
