Features:
Nitrates, chemically abbreviated as NO3, are the end product of the ammonia degradation by nitrifying bacteria. Nitrate is not toxic to fish and therefore would not be a direct problem for their health as are ammonia or nitrite. However, high concentrations can stop them from growing and cause the aquarium severe algal proliferation problems.
To reduce the level of nitrates in the aquarium, the SHG anti-nitrates selective resins are available. |
